How to make a claim for your horse
Find out the simplest way to make an equine claim with Agria.
What you’ll need to make an equine claim
Providing all the relevant information could speed up the processing of your claim. You will need to provide:

Fully completed claim form

Itemised invoice from your Vet
- 3
The corresponding clinical history from your Vet for your claim
- 4
Additional Information
If you are claiming for the first time, we will require some additional details about your horse (section one of claim form) and clinical history from any veterinary practice you have attended with your horse.

Pre-Authorisation
If your Horse needs an MRI or a CT scan, you will need to have these treatments pre-authorised.
Who can submit the claim ?
You and your Vet must complete the claim form, however we will accept the claim form from either you or your Vet. The payee of the claim can also be you or your Vet. If you are the payee of the claim, you must have paid your Vet and be able to provide a receipt .
I'm a vet making a claim for a customer

To make a claim for your customer, you will need the following to hand before you start:

Corresponding clinical history *for first claims please send all clinical history available from your Practice
I'm a policy holder making a claim for my horse
If you would prefer to make your own claim, you will need the following to hand before you start your online claim:

*if you are the payee of the claim you must have already paid your Vet

Is this your first claim?
If this is your first ever claim we will require some further details about your horse (see claim form). We may also require a copy of your Horse's passport and vetting certificate. If you have attended multiple Vets with your horse, we will contact your previous vets for you.
Other ways to claim
What you can’t claim for:
Pre-existing conditions. This is any sign of illness, injury, or behavioural issue that began before your policy started.
The cost of routine or preventative horse care, such as vaccinations and check-ups.
