Accessibility Statement
Accessibility at Agria Petinsure
We want everyone to be able to access our digital services, regardless of how you use them or your individual circumstances. Please contact us if, for example, you have a disability and experience that our services are inaccessible to you.
Relevant requirements
Our website is subject to the accessibility requirements in those parts of the site where you can purchase insurance, which this statement refers to. The European Accessibility Act and national legislation determine which requirements are relevant. In summary, this means that all users must be able to perceive, understand, and operate our website.
How we meet the accessibility requirements
Perceivable
According to good accessibility practice, you as a user must be able to access and perceive the information and functions, regardless of any impairment. Agria has identified a number of shortcomings in this area but is continuously working to address them. Within this category, there are 21 criteria to fulfil, and currently we have identified the following issues:
1. Images lack alternative text
2. Poor page structure regarding sections and headings
3. Input fields lack certain attributes in the code that clarify their purpose
4. Some text is truncated or disappears off-screen when text is enlarged
Operable
The user interface and navigation must be operable in multiple ways. For example, all functions must be usable without a computer mouse. In this category, we have identified the following issues:
1. Some components do not follow established patterns for keyboard navigation
2. There is no option to skip repetitive content
3. Some pages do not have descriptive titles in the browser
4. The tab order is not always logical
5. Some link texts require surrounding context to be fully understandable, and some do not indicate that they open in a new window
6. Parts of the interface have weak or missing focus indicators
7. The visible name does not always match the name presented to assistive technologies
Understandable
The information and use of the interface must also be understandable. In this category, we have identified the following issues:
1. Inconsistent naming of identical objects
2. Unclear naming of clickable objects such as links or buttons
3. Unclear labels or instructions when filling in form fields
4. In a few places, unexpected focus shifts occur during input
Robust
The website must be compatible with a wide range of browsers and assistive technologies. In this category, we have identified the following issues:
1. Errors in the website’s HTML code, which may cause difficulties in always presenting content correctly
2. Controls and buttons lack names, and their status is not communicated to assistive technologies
3. The result of actions performed is not communicated to assistive technologies
4. Misleading feedback to screen readers about errors that have occurred
User settings
The website should respect settings that users have made in their operating system or browser. In this category, we have identified the following issues:
1. We do not offer dark mode
2. Parts of the interface disappear in high contrast mode
How we performed the assessment
The assessments have been carried out by our internal accessibility specialists with many years of experience in digital accessibility reviews. The following tools and methods have been used:
• Automated tools: Axe, IBM Equal Access, among others
• Manual review
• Screen readers: NVDA and VoiceOver
